Ellen O'Connell Bazzoli
Artist's Resume
Ellen graduated
from the State University of New York at Brockport and received her
MFA from
Vermont College in 1996. She has participated in
numerous shows in Columbus including four at Art Access Gallery. Ellen
continues to paint with encaustic wax as her medium. The luminous quality
of the wax surface is similar to oil painting yet the wax has a much
more three dimensional aspect to it. "The act of painting becomes
an act of reshaping the surface." The many layers of wax actually
document the process of painting.
