Curtis Goldstein
Artist's
Statement & Resume
Goldstein’s newest paintings are cityscapes of Columbus that range from well know landmarks to everyday scenes. In addition he paints abstract works inspired by these more realistic urban images. To many people Curtis is known as a mural painter. He has created murals on many buildings around Columbus and Newark, Ohio.
“My work explores the inner-workings of a diverse and rapidly growing city, celebrating economic and cultural progress (beauty), while lending dignity to the strata of decline inherent in all urban centers (the sublime)."
